LAST Saturday saw the McDonald’s Family Restaurant/Amazing Dental first grade Tigers take on the Shellharbour Suns at Artie Smith Oval.

Before the start of the game, the Tigers announced that Jack Boxsell would be the club’s captain for 2016. From the opening bounce, the Tigers were dominating the centre clearances, with Courtney Ward tapping the ball forward to a very mobile midfield, with Jack Hangan, Sean Byrne, and Toby Craig proving dangerous all over the ground. Up forward, Ben Girling, Matt Wyles, Phil Cowan and Andrew Lee were combining well.

The backline were ruthless with their attack at the ball with Christian Mills, Jacob Wright, Adrian Pendlebury and Luke McCann continually repelling the Suns push forward. With the backs linkedwith Tristan Craig, Brad Kingston and Kel Russell.

Bomaderry won 23.8-146 to 8.6-54.Award winners were Ben Girling (Crofty’s Tyre and Auto and ‘Deli on Kinghorne’ vouchers), Toby Criag (Bridge Tavern voucher), Jack Hangan (Kel Campbell Caltex), Phil CowanTuscany Wood Fired Top Tackle), Sean Byrne(Mamma’s Italian Kitchen), Brad Kingston (Scruples’ Hairstyles) and Jack Boxsell (Dunn and Williams coaches cup). –

Reserve grade had a complete turn around from the previous week recording their second win in three games.

With Blake Munilla, Darren Gration and Lachlan Bailey get clean possession out of the centre thanks to the efforts of Ryan Hiscox and Tim Hanlon in the ruck, the Tigers took control from the get go. The forwards were on fire with Matt Lawrence leading the way with six goals, and Morgan Murphy-Knight, Nick Dowling and Jayme Delahenty putting plenty of pressure on the Suns backline

Andrew Pearn, Daniel Breedon, Ryan Delahenty, Adrian Hiscox, and Ben Trayling worked well in the backline to put up an almost impenetrable wall to continually repel the Suns attacking efforts, whilst Jack Carter, Tyler Dunstan, Tyson Sue and Mitch Hodgson were proving dangerous all over the field.

Bomaderry won 21.21-147 to 1.3-9.Award winners were;Blake Munilla,Tyler Dunstan,Sam Bagnall,Matt Lawrence andTyson Sue
