It can only mean one thing; it’s Pumpkin Festival time again!

The famous Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is on again – Sunday 1st May and with it comes the iconic images of giant pumpkins, great autumn food and over one hundred colourful market stalls.

The festival also provides an opportunity for the village to celebrate its colourful past with authentic Bushranger re-enactments, Cobb & Co coach rides and a local history display in the heritage listed St Bartholomew’s Church (Circa 1848).

The festival now accommodates two stages with six hours of entertainment on the main stage by the well known Australian folk duo of Pat Drummond and Karen Lynn as well as several guest artists.

Meanwhile, the mini stage at the Collector oval will feature popular children’s performer Ant1 (former Hooley Dooley and ABC recording artist) and several local musicians.

The children will also love building a scarecrow, rolling a pumpkin, climbing the Base Zero rock climbing wall, finding their way through the straw bale maze, visiting the Noah’s Ark Petting Zoo or having their photo taken with a giant pumpkin.

The Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is a community ran event with all profits returned to the community.

This year, the festival is aiming to raise funds for the Gunning Community Health Service and the Collector Public School.

The Collector Public School will be celebrating its 150th anniversary later this year and funds raised at the festival will help refurbish the school library and upgrade other facilities in preparation for sesquicentenary.

With full ATM facilities, plenty of car parking and more pumpkins than ever: the Collector Village Pumpkin Festival is a must see event – Sunday 1st May; 10 am to 4pm.

Entry: Adult = $10, Seniors = $5 and children (15 years and under ) FREE!
